At New Beginnings, we believe that moving into assisted living should feel like a fresh start, not a step back. Our home is based on Carol’s vision of providing dignified assisted living care, which moves away from a clinical “nursing home” feel and toward a warm, communal environment.
We focus on the “Social Model” of care. This means that while medical support is always available, our primary goal is to ensure our residents lead meaningful, active lives. We provide a space where privacy is respected, but a helping hand is never more than a few steps away.

A Philosophy of Flavor & Care
We believe that every single meal should be a celebration of life. Inspired by Carol’s deep conviction that great food is central to dignity, we refuse to serve bland, institutional meals. Instead, we prepare three vibrant, flavorful meals a day, filled with color and care. We also gather daily for 10:00 AM and 15:00 PM tea, complete with fresh, delicious treats. For us, nutrition isn't just a service, it is a daily opportunity to bring joy, comfort, and connection to our residents' lives.
Small-Scale Living
To avoid the feeling of a large institution, we keep our resident numbers low. This allows our staff to form genuine bonds with every individual and provide care that is truly personal.
Active Independence
Residents are encouraged to remain as active as possible. Whether it is enjoying our garden spaces or participating in light social activities, we focus on what our residents can do, rather than what they cannot.
Pharmacy Delivery
We partner closely with a dedicated local pharmacy to manage all prescription needs from start to finish. They securely fill and deliver medications directly to our doors, ensuring our residents always have exactly what they need on hand, while completely removing the hassle of pharmacy runs for families.
In-Home Doctors & Specialists
To make healthcare as comfortable and stress-free as possible, we arrange for trusted doctors, physiotherapists, and expert wound care specialists to visit residents right here in the comfort of our home. This ensures our residents receive comprehensive, personalized medical care without the physical strain of traveling to outside appointments.
